Although Align-It Auto just opened its doors this year, I have been in this industry for 17 years. The Company is currently run by Jana Peterson as CEO and Myself (Tate Peterson) as Manager and Factory Trained Technician. I have Worked in almost all the different shops that you would normally take your vehicle to. New Car Dealerships were I was a general Line Tech doing everything except Transmission rebuilds. Also Supervisor for the Pre-Delivery Dept. were we reconditioned used cars and Checked in all the new cars. At Used Car dealers were I repaired and serviced all the incoming units for sale. Fast Paced Tire Shops like Good Year, Firestone and Tire Kingdom were I serviced all makes and models. Which is were I got most of my Alignments under my Belt. I also worked for a Contract Company that serviced Military Equipment, that was a cool experience. I was able to acquire an over- head Crane Certification while employed there, where I helped with pulling Engines out of some huge vehicles. Last and my Favorite place that I was employed at was a body shop. I loved everything about that side of the industry. The type of work I performed was right up my alley of favorites things to fix.. Most of my Services are geared towards that. But with all my experience Repairing vehicles is all the same and a broad range.
It all started in my Dads Garage and a 1990 25th Anniversary Edition Black on Black Mustang 5.0L, with a 5 speed. I just loved the exhuast notes that the Foxbody's made. It was like Church music to my ears. LOL. A good buddy had one, that had a full exhuast on it with American Thunder 2 chamer Flowmasters and I could listen to that car all day. After Graduating High School and working all summer, I saved up enough to get one of my own. My Mom never really liked to Idea of a young man having that much power, so I had to wait til I was officially and adult. I searched far and wide and what seemed like forever I found a Black interiored Foxbody. If you dont know, they are Rare. Now you Know!!! What started with just Tinkering turned into a passion. I worked as much as I could between College Classes, just so I could upgrade it. Before you know it, my Brother and friends started buying them and my dads driveway looked like a Car Repair shop!! Thats when it hit me. I Needed more Training. Thats when I decided to leave the University and go to Technical School.
I bought my Foxbody in 1999. I was just a Freshman in College. I remember driving it home from Louisville, KY, not far from where I was born and raised, cheesing from ear to ear. My brother was the right seater and we just had a blast cruising it home. I could see from that day that he was hooked too. We had so much fun driving it around. The smell(which it still somehow smells the same as it did all those years ago), the Power, the Exhaust notes, the looks from by-standers and drivers, it was such a great feeling. So after having the car close to five years and doing soooo much to it. Like a new paint job with all the Cobra extrerior trim, tons of Performance parts, the time spent keeping it clean, I had to part with it to help Finance my Schooling. Lucky for me and so grateful my Brother sold his and bought Mine. So it stayed in the family all that time. 14 years he had it, and made so many memories with it. Now, its been back in my hands for the last 4 years now and its been in Restoration ever since. Im finally able to restore it like I have always wanted. Its getting close, but its not Road worthy yet. When it does hit the pavement, you will know. There my be a buzz going around here in Jacksonville, FL. It will be the Cleanest, Nicest, and most Moded Foxbody around. Dont Hesitate to Flag me down and Chat.
